Programming Guide: How to Set Up ERA-PIR Motion Sensor with ERA-DCRX Receiver

Learn how to program your ERA-PIR motion sensor transmitter to work with the ERA-DCRX receiver. This guide includes step-by-step instructions and visual demonstrations. Note: These same steps can be used for the ERA-UTX transmitter by using its push button instead of motion activation.

Initial Setup Requirements

• ERA-PIR motion sensor transmitter
• ERA-DCRX receiver
• 9V battery for the transmitter
• Phillips head screwdriver
• Access to a standard power outlet

Receiver Preparation

1. Power status: green LED indicates power on; no LED indicates unit is off
2. Volume control: press volume button to cycle through settings; all four LEDs lit indicates maximum volume; red LED only indicates mute; no LEDs indicates power off

Transmitter Setup Process

1. Battery installation: remove screw from back cover, insert 9V battery with correct polarity. Red LED flash indicates successful power-up.
2. Testing: observe red LED activation when motion is detected. Use test button above battery for manual transmission.

Programming Instructions

1. Enter programming mode: press and hold mode button for 3 seconds. Observe Zone 1 LED flashing.
2. Zone selection: use zone button to select desired zone (1-4).
3. Transmitter programming: trigger ERA-PIR by moving hand across sensor or pressing test button. Listen for confirmation tone.
4. Exit programming: hold mode button until LEDs return to normal.
