Programming the ERA-VPRX Portable Doorbell Receiver to 3 ERA Transmitters

The ERA-VPRX is a portable chime receiver compatible with all ERA series products. Unlike other ERA receivers that support 12 transmitters, the VPRX can work with up to 16 different transmitters or sensors and offers 16 available melodies for zone assignment.

The VPRX is compact—approximately three-fourths the size of a pen—and fits in a pocket or upright on a desk. It features a built-in battery with up to six days of standby time, a recharging port on the bottom, and a power button on top. An included belt clip allows for portability.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Power on the ERA-VPRX Receiver: press the power button on top of the unit. You should hear a short tone and see the display backlight briefly.
2. Disable the safety lock: hold down both up and down arrows simultaneously until you hear a beep.
3. Enter programming mode: press and hold the mode button and the up arrow simultaneously. The display should show 1 --- Code Learning, indicating Zone 1 is ready.
4. Zone 1 (ERA-PBTX push button): trigger the push button. Listen for a whistling sound. The display should show 1 Use.
5. Zone 2 (ERA-UTX with distinct melody): press the down arrow to select Zone 2. Use the up arrow to change the melody to a rapid ding-dong. Trigger the UTX, listen for the whistle, and check that it shows 2 Use.
6. Zone 3 (ERA-PIR motion sensor with Westminster chime): press the down arrow to select Zone 3. Select the four-note Westminster chime. Trigger the motion sensor by moving in front of it.
7. Exit programming mode: press the power button. A beep confirms exit.
8. Test each transmitter: trigger each device to confirm the correct melody and vibration are assigned.
